President's Message

What’s Inside… I believe that from time-to-time we must take a step back and see how far we have come as individual facilities and as a company. Our growth this year alone (adding 260 new beds in six different locations) will take us to 1,055 total beds. That is staggering to realize, as only 2 ½ years ago we were at half that number. However, we believe that growth should be methodical and measured. Although growth is exciting, we must not ever lose focus on our current patients and families right in front of us.

One of our belief statements got me thinking about how well we are executing that belief. “We believe in being good community citizens.” This is a broad statement and must be broken down into parts.
• Are we fully available to help people in crisis 24/7 in our communities?
• Are we recruiting new clinicians to our facility and sharing them with the community, i.e., seminars, trainings, outpatient care, or participation in collaboratives?
• Are we truly helping families navigate the system and get where they need to be regardless of whether it is our service or not?
• When a crisis/tragedy occurs in our community, are we offering grief counselors or being a resource for others to look to for guidance?

Being a good community citizen means all of these and more.

Again, thank you to all of you for caring for our patients in such a compassionate and empathetic way. Your ability to change lives does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
