Strategic Behavioral Center Facility Overview
SBC is a 72 bed Psychiatric Residential
Treatment Facility (PRTF) specifically
designed for  child/adolescent services.
We are focusing on providing exceptional treatment
and support to adolescents and their families
through an inter-disciplinary team
approach.
SBC is located in Leland, NC.
Treatment Program:
SBC was developed in order to better serve the needs of adolescents ages 12-17 with
emotional and behavioral disorders. Professional staff is prepared to address the
needs of adolescents with general psychiatric disorders such as ADHD,  PTSD, Depression, Mood, Anxiety, and Oppositional Behavioral Disorders. A highly structured behavioral modification program, with a level system, is implemented to assist adolescents in gauging their progress. The program also assists adolescents in learning to accept responsibility for their own behaviors,both positive and negative.

Directions to SBC
From the South
Take US-17 N coming from south Brunswick County.
As you enter the Leland area merge onto US-74-W
toward Lumberton. Go 4 miles, turn right onto
Mercantile Dr. The facility is on your right.
From the West
Take US-17 E / US-76 E from the Whiteville area. Go
approx. 35 miles. As you enter Leland you will continue
on 74/76 until you come to Enterprise Dr. Turn left onto
Enterprise Dr., then right onto Trade St. Trade Street
dead ends into Mercantile Dr. Turn left onto mercantile

From the North/East
Take 1-40 east towards Wilmington. Just outside
Wilmington take the bypass which is I-140. This ends
on Hwy. 421. Turn right on 421/133 until you get to
74/76W. Follow signs to 74W/76W toward Brunswick
Beaches. Stay on 74W/76W after you pass downtown
Wilmington. Go approx. 7 miles down 74W/76W
towards Leland. Turn right onto Mercantile Drive.
